Just for the Fork of It

Better late than never, it’s last Friday, right?!. This picture is one of the most memorable parts of #FOORKS2010 for me. When driving to Forks from Seattle nothing reminded me of Twilight, nothing. When we finally got to Port Angeles I got excited about the sign but that was short-lived. Then. . . came this shop. It is at an intersection that you must drive past so all the newbies will see it. I about SQUUUEEEEEEEEED right out of my seat when I saw it! I actually had to lock the car doors because Jaymes was about to run out, dodge traffic and start licking the window.

To all of you who went last year, what was your reaction when you reached this part of the drive?

What I Have To Put Up With

A glimpse into the loving, supportive, nurturing, seventeen year friendship that is Jamie and I. .

As most of you fabulous followers know, Forks 2011 is coming up fast. I have booked my hotel at the Forks Hotel, which I am sharing with Jaymes, AllTwiedUp, and NorCalTwitard . I have even booked the car rental that I am sharing with Jaymes and LuvsMeSumEdward. I had yet to book my flight until today. I have been stalking Kayak.com and Priceline.com hourly like it was my solo mission in life to find the cheapest flight to Forks. Today they offered a price I wouldn’t have to sell my first born for so I knew today was the day. I asked Jaymes if we should purchase them together to secure seats next to each other, like we already don’t see each other enough. I offered to put them on my credit card since I already had all the information filled out.

When I e-mailed her the itinerary to triple check everything is accurate, did I get a “thank you for booking the flight”? No. A “thank you for looking every day for cheap flights so our broke asses can go to the mother-ship that is Forks” was no where to be found. Instead, I got this:

Really? . . . REALLY? That was her e-mail back. My initial thought was to only purchase one airfare and when she is unable to board the plane because she has no ticket I would kindly reply “ you were pissed about the meal so I figured you didn’t want to go.” However I declined my initial thought because when I came back from Forks solo all my shit would be burned and or out in the carport. Below is our correspondence from that e-mail on:

Demanda: Jeeebus you asshat. The preference was; low salt, non fat, vegan. What do you prefer?

(She redeems herself in her reply)

Jaymes: I don’t know which category Vodka fits under. Low salt?

Demanda: Fat free.

Jaymes: Hopefully I don’t have to be gluten free by then cuz I iz going to yell at them because I won’t be able to have Vitamin R. *

*I love that this is one of her biggest challenges if she has Celiac. Diehard Twitard.

Anyhoo, I felt inclined to give you a little somethin’ somethin’ and demonstrate what true friendship looks like. Thank you Jaymes for always being a high-maintenance biotch. Please never change.

PFach Turned Me Into A Vampire. But For A Good Cause.

Hello all you lovely h00rs. I need your help. Don't worry, it won't cost you a dime. Or your dignity. Just a few seconds of your time after reading this post.

I guess I should have buttered you up a little bit before asking for help, right?

Ok, let's try that again. Wow, you look GORGEOUS today! Is that a new shirt/dress/sweater/onesie? It brings out your eyes. And your chest looks amazing!

There. Feelin better?

Good, I'm glad. Back to the task at hand.

Gawd, that's one hot DILF
Picture from here

Did that catch your attention? Hope so!

So yesterday, Peter Facinelli posted a nice lil tweet.

As some of you may know, Peter is very heavily involved in Alex's Lemonade Stand, a foundation that raises money to fight childhood cancer. If you haven't read the story of Alexandra Scott, do it ASAP. It will bring tears to your eyes and warmth to your heart. Then come back here and keep reading this post to see how you can help.

After seeing PFach's tweet, I decided that I had nothing else to do (ignore the fact that I was at work) and sent over a picture of me smiling big.

Like this but not.

I didn't really expect to hear anything back. I have very close sources that have stepped foot on the 'Fach' property and said that him and his wife are extremely lovely people. And everyone else who has met him said that he is as sweet as he looks. But he's famous and busy so I figured the pictures were just going to be put in a collage of pretty faces for the charity.

I was wrong. Today, I checked my email and saw this little gem.

I'll admit, it probably wasn't from him but I squee'ed a little bit. Even if it was his assistant or a distant relative. I imagined writing back and him responding, inviting me over to dinner with him and Jennie. We'd all become great friends and I'd get to meet the casts of 90210 and Twilight.

Now back to the point of this post. Sorry friends, I keep getting off track. I know you're asking "How you can help?" Like I said, it doesn't cost anything and your clothes can stay on (sorry, I know some of you are disappointed)

Peter sent my picture back over but he edited a little bit. It appears I have been BITTEN. That's right folks. I am now pale white and ice cold for a reason other than having bad circulation and a vitamin D deficiency.

He has found a founder that will donate $50,000.00 to Alex's Lemonade Stand. All you have to do is check out the below photo of me as a vampire (yes, I know I'm already pale white and ice cold but trust me, I'm alive). As soon as they reach 2 million viewers collectively on all of the pictures sent in, the nice people at the Southern California Foundation will make the donation.

All you have to do is click on the link below and help them reach 2 million viewers. As a bonus, the person who's photo has the most views will win an ipad 2.  Note: when you click on the link, it might ask you to download something but it's just a viewer. I tried it and it's harmless. I don't think PFach would make us download something that would be harmful to our computers. He is a good vampire, after all.

Please share this link with friends, family, and all other 2 million people you know to help Alex's Lemonade Stand get this amazingly generous donation.

The link you can tweet, email, post on a blog or Facebook is as follows:  http://taps.la/k6YXTr

If you tweet the link, please include the hashtag #ifiwereavampire. Thank you all so much for your support!

*Hugs and awkward lingering*
